Lacrosse Coach- Brooklyn Crescents Club
The Brooklyn Crescents Lacrosse Club is looking for coaches to help grow the game of lacrosse in NYC. The continuing success of our program depends on our coaches. This past fall we had a record 500 kids playing lacrosse within our program. The Brooklyn Crescents Lacrosse Club is a fully volunteer run, 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Crescents’ players and coaches reflect the diverse neighborhoods of NYC. Our club teaches boys and girls in grades PreK-12 the fundamental/advanced skills and values of lacrosse (e.g., commitment, teamwork, integrity, passion, community pride). We strive to make lacrosse accessible in NYC by introducing the great game of lacrosse to children picking up a stick for the first time as well as providing quality instruction and competition for more advanced players. This year, we expanded our offering by providing lacrosse to after school programs in Brooklyn. Our program’s foundation is built on beginner clinics for the spectrum of our age groups. Our teams play other lacrosse organizations throughout the Tri-State area. Over 150 lacrosse players have graduated our program, since our beginning in 2006. Our graduates have gone on to play at local high schools, boarding schools and at the college level. The Crescents’ coaching staff is experienced and professionally trained, focused on developing the best in all players. For this spring, the Crescents are looking for volunteer coaches and also have select paid coaching positions for our NYC after school program initiative. The Crescents practice at Poly Prep Country Day School in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The future of NYC lacrosse looks bright. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in being part of the Crescents family.
